Zalyndia Rutledge, MS CCC-SLP
With over 30 years of experience, I am a dedicated pediatric speech-language pathologist passionate about enhancing communication skills in children. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Texas Christian University, followed by a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Women’s University.
My professional journey has taken me primarily through pediatric settings, including school-based, outpatient, and telehealth environments. This breadth of experience has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges families face, allowing me to support them effectively across various contexts.
In my practice, I prioritize building strong, trusting relationships with each child and their family. I firmly believe that therapy should be enjoyable, functional, and centered around the family unit. By incorporating play into my sessions, I harness its power as a natural and engaging tool for learning and development.
I relish the unique challenges that each child presents, and I am committed to empowering and guiding families on their journey. Collaborating with educators and fellow therapists, I aim to enhance children’s functional communication skills and contribute to their overall success, helping them reach their fullest potential.
When I’m not working in the clinic, you can find me indulging my passions for travel, gardening, exploring estate sales and antique stores, and cherishing quality time with my family.
